just plug and play...too simple.Perfect for ease of use.Why carry around cables and attack the camera, when you can just pop the card in the XD card reader and then plug the reader into any computer USB port. I went from a PC that had a multi card reader to a Macbook Pro without a cardreader.This was a perfect solution for me. I got this mini for reading my XD cards and another mini reader for my HD cards.I was not interested in bulky external card readers Multi card I never use..
